Miley Cyrus ‘permanent’ support for gay marriage

Recently, Miley tweeted a picture of a freshly inked = sign on her finger. No it’s not because she is a big fan of mathematics, the new body art was in support of gay marriage. She wrote “where does it say in the bible to judge others? Oh right. It doesn’t. GOD is the only judge honey. GOD is love.” This is very true, the Bible tells us not to judge others because that judgment will eventually come upon us, and God is in fact, love in the purest form.

Being a Christian who consistently prays for Hollywood and all its inhabitants, it makes me happy to hear a big time influence preaching with good intention. However, her message is skewed when she said “all love is equal.” According to His word, God would not say that. God is love, yes, but he is also the judge, the one who will bang the gavel. The judges in the courtrooms of today’s society don’t anxiously await opportunities to send people to prison but if you break the law, that’s where you end up. We seem to conveniently forget who we’re dealing with, who we’re answering to. The same guy that saved Noah and his family killed the rest of the people who were not on the boat; God spared Lot and his loved ones, what happened to the others in the town? Burnt to a crisp, oh, and the one who looked back…became a pillar of salt. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” (Prov. 9:10) and his wrath is no joke people…he’s a serious guy and as much as he loves us (so much so he watched his own beloved child get mocked, spit on, scourged, beaten, and crucified just to give us a shot) he has, and always will, stick to scripture. So, as my view on gay marriage is lined up with God’s this isn’t something worth supporting. Marriage is between a man and a woman, period. This does not mean we judge others who are attracted to the same sex. Being gay is the same as lust, greed, or any other sin, but for some reason it seems like this one gets special attention. Hate the sin NOT the sinner, confusing this for plain hatred makes us no better than the sin itself-harsh but true.

What does one do is a situation like this; where a family member, friend, or co-worker is struggling with their view on orientation. Advice should be lined up with what scripture says, speak the truth. That is what Miley, being a child of God is responsible for, instead she’s advocating the wrong message. Her tattoo should stand for “love all equally” not “all love is equal.”

    Introduce them to some actual gay people. Once they meet them and see them as people, not an act or a sexuality, they find it harder to oppose their happiness.

    That’s what I do. Though obviously, our opinions on the subject differ.

    You are a f****ing idiot. I’m sure the scripture you are talking about is If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. — Lev.20:13. But.. have you ever worn unisex clothing? Oh of course you have, you ABOMINATION :

    Women are not to wear men’s clothing — it’s an “abomination unto the Lord.” Deuteronomy 22:5

    And learn some g****** history. Marriage was and never was what it is in today’s society. Marriage used to be a CONTRACT, between two men who would exchange property to another. And that property was called WOMAN. Marriage used to be not between different races, and a 80 year old man could marry 10 year olds. But that’s different then two people of the same sex marrying? Not to f****ing mention it is unconstitutional under the fourteen amendment.

    Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

    So go f*** yourself and your bigotry’s. Not everyone believes in God let alone “your” God. That is why there is a separation of church and state, because RELIGIOUS nonsense should stay within the f***ing church. I don’t give a fuck what you believe, I don’t give a f*** if you condemn me, or even hate me. But don’t you dare say I’m not allowed to love someone, or say one sin is worse then another. Bigots like you have constructed a hierarchy of sin (which does NOT exist in the bible) to protect their own prejudices, and you mutilate the term ‘love’. What a nice christian you are.

      My apologies for the delayed response, I’ve been working on a new post and honestly I had all but forgotten this one was still up. So glad you read it though, thanks for spending your time on on my site. As you can see I’ve censored all the cursing, it isn’t necessary, especially when trying to make a point in fact, it immediately discredits people who approach a discussion that way. After editing, I put in effort to dig for exactly what your point was. I think it got lost, I never found it. Though, I understand your feeling since you said; “But don’t you dare say I’m not allowed to love someone,” a personal attack was never my intention. Speaking of, the second comment was underhanded, irrelevant, and unappreciated. If something was blocked I was unaware of the happening, no worries; all is forgiven.

      I had no specific scripture in mind when I was writing this but 1 Cor. 9-11 would be the basis for this post not Lev. 20:13. That only warns of future punishment, and is specific to same-sex relations.

      1 Corinthians verses 9-10 tells of everyone who will not inherit the Kingdom ”Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanders nor swindlers.” Then in the very next line, hope is offered for us sinners to be washed, justified and sanctified through the blood shed by Jesus Christ and by the spirit of our God.
